Norman Long is a dedicated community supporter who actively contributes both locally and nationally. He assists neighbours by providing essential services such as light gardening, shopping, and welfare checks, ensuring they can continue living at home. Regionally, he serves as the Secretary of the West Midlands North branch of SSAFA, where he volunteers as a caseworker, and is involved with retired nurses leagues in the Black Country. Professionally, Norman Long was a Principal Lecturer and retired as Associate Head, School of Nursing and Midwifery. Norman was also a full time Bank Nurse with Acorns Children’s Hospice and now a volunteer supporter. Norman has been a full time carer for past 11 years.
