Louise Cox has devoted 15 years of voluntary service to Solihull Churches Action on Homelessness (S.C.A.H.), playing a pivotal role in the charity’s growth and operations. Elected as a Committee member in 2010, she has served as Minutes Secretary, Events Coordinator, and currently as Secretary and de facto Operations Manager. Louise has been instrumental in recruiting and training new volunteer shoppers, coordinating their activities, and managing the charity’s bank account. Under her leadership, S.C.A.H. has expanded significantly, assisting 260 adults and 100 associated children in 2023, compared to just 88 individuals in 2010. Louise’s work involves providing home starter packs, which include essential non-food items for those transitioning out of homelessness. She is the heartbeat of the charity, maintaining strong connections within the local community to recruit volunteers and facilitate partnerships with other organisations.
