It was a great occasion on Sunday as we gathered to bid a fond farewell to the esteemed Lord Lieutenant Sir John Crabtree CVO OBE, who is embarking on a well deserved retirement after seven years of exceptional service. It was a lovely afternoon fittingly held at the Sense HQ in Selly Oak which John created along with the Commonwealth Games in 2022. John led from the front with fundraising at Sense and raised over £6M as he completed many epic walks and challenges! John and Diana have given so much to the West Midlands and positively influenced so many people whilst in office. Their achievements have been incredible and they always been accessible and have literally attended hundreds of events.
