Feed the Hungry UK – Wednesday 24th April 2024

I had the privilege of visiting Feed the Hungry UK at their Halo Centre in Coventry yesterday as High Sheriff of the West Midlands. This is way more than a food bank and is truly creating community impact.

It was inspiring to see the incredible work they are doing to support communities with much needed food, support and advice. They also have real plans to ensure sustainability and ultimately to help people to become self sufficient. The dedication and passion of the team, and volunteers, I met today at Feed the Hungry UK was exceptional. I was very grateful for the opportunity to witness firsthand the impact they are making in our community with their seven local pantries, providing an amazing 21,000 food parcels.

The High Sheriff Cadets from West Midlands Police had the opportunity to pack some food parcels ready for international distribution.
