As High Sheriff of the West Midlands, I had the distinct honour of hosting a Multi-Faith Thank You Carol Service that brought our community together in celebration and unity. The incorporation of the High Sheriff Awards made the evening even more special allowing us to recognise the outstanding contributions of local individuals and organisations.
It was truly uplifting to hear the beautiful performances from the choirs of St. Mary’s Handsworth, Pelsall Ladies Choir and the Holy Trinity Choir. Their voices filled the church with joy and added a magical touch to the festivities.
A highlight of the evening was hearing the multi-faith commitments shared by various faith representatives across the West Midlands. Their messages of hope and unity reminded us of the strength that comes from our diverse community.
A huge well done to all the recipients of the High Sheriff Awards! Your dedication and hard work make a significant difference in our community, and it was a privilege to celebrate your achievements.
I was also delighted to be joined by the Lord Lieutenant, local dignitaries, and representatives from 52 charities and organisations across the West Midlands. A heartfelt thank you to the Priest-in-charge and my High Sheriff Chaplain for their unwavering support and wonderful delivery of this special service.
We also raised funds for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital for their Christmas Appeal. Thank you for everyone who donated.
