On Friday night, I had the pleasure as High Sheriff of the West Midlands of hosting Judges at Edgbaston for a fantastic game of T20 cricket where Birmingham Bears played Leicestershire Foxes.
It was a perfect evening in so many ways. The sun came out and we were brilliantly hosted and given exceptional hospitality. The food was exceptional and worthy of a 10/10 rating. Well done to all of the team at this iconic stadium headed up by the wonderful Sharon Goodwin.
On the field, we were treated to a masterclass of one day batting by the prolific Moeen Ali who battered his way to an exquisite 100 within 18 overs. The Bears truly out foxed the Foxes and were worthy winners.
An exceptional evening was enjoyed by all at the end of a very productive week. Finally a big shout out to Stuart Cain for all of the above!
