I recently had the great pleasure as the High Sheriff to meet with the Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Shahin Ashraf MBE, I had the privilege of engaging in very meaningful discussions with a remarkable individual about how we can work together across our respective year’s in office.
Mayor Ashraf’s extensive list of professional licenses and certifications showcases her dedication to leadership and advocacy. The Mayor’s recognition with an MBE in 2015 for ‘Services to Interfaith and Community Cohesion‘ further demonstrates her commitment to fostering community harmony.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Mayor Ashraf is actively involved in voluntary work on so many levels but particularly supporting young people with mental health and assisting those with SEND.
I look forward to supporting her work in the Solihull community during her mayoral term. Her pride and passion for the betterment of Solihull shore through.
