Today I had the opportunity to visit @Sharon at the @ Midlands Langar Seva Society Community Hub as the High Sheriff of the West Midlands.
Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS) is a non-profit organisation that strives to help those in need around the UK and internationally. The UK based charity was established in October 2013 and aims to provide hot meals to vulnerable members of society living in challenging situations such as homelessness and poverty.
In 2021 MLSS opened their new Community Hub which offers a range of state-of-the-art facilities aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being. From a fully-equipped gym and boxing gym to creative studios and an on-site physiotherapist, the hub is designed to support individuals in various aspects of their health and well-being.
What the volunteers here at MLSS are achieving is truly inspiring. They are not only feeding the homeless but also providing long-term support and fostering a sense of community. The emphasis on mental health, well-being, and building confidence reflects the hub’s commitment to creating a welcoming space for all. I look forward to supporting their impactful initiatives in the future.
