As High Sheriff of the West Midlands, I had the honour of meeting HRH The Duke of Gloucester during his visit to Sarginsons Industries Ltd in Coventry. The engagement was a fantastic opportunity to look at the innovative work being done at this esteemed company.
Sarginsons Industries Ltd is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Coventry, West Midlands, specialising in aluminium casting and machining. Founded in 1933, Sarginsons has built a reputation for innovation and quality in the manufacturing sector, serving a diverse range of industries including automotive, aerospace, and rail. They originally made parts for the Spitfire aeroplane used during the Battle of Britain in the Second World War in 1940
We were given a full guided tour of the foundry and saw many different aspects including their technology centre. They demonstrated the technical design of components and showcased the innovative casting simulations related to Sarginsons’ new PIVOT project. In the quality laboratory they demonstrated the scanning and dimensional assessments of aluminium cast components showcasing the meticulous quality control processes in place at Sarginsons.
As High Sheriff I have great pride in the West Midlands and this visit showcased the very best of British manufacturing. Thank you to the team at Sarginsons for this wonderful visit.
