The Princes Trust – Wednesday 21st August 2024

As High Sheriff of the West Midlands, I recently had the opportunity to visit The Prince’s Trust in Birmingham and it was a truly inspiring experience.
Based in the heart of Digbeth, The Prince’s Trust support people aged 11 to 30 years who are not in full time education or employment to live, learn and earn. It all began in 1976 when His Majesty King Charles III was His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales had a bold idea. Having completed his duty in the Royal Navy, His Majesty became dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK. He founded His Trust to deliver on that commitment.
Dewi and the staff at The Prince’s Trust in Birmingham were incredibly welcoming and eager to share with me the various programs and services they offer to young people in the area. From employability workshops to personal development courses, it was clear that The Prince’s Trust are truly dedicated to helping young people build the skills and confidence they need to succeed. I was particularly impressed hearing the stories of the young people who had benefitted from The Prince’s Trust programs. It was evident that The Prince’s Trust had made a real difference in their lives. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this exceptional facility whim is truly inspiring.
