The Royal School Wolverhampton – Wednesday 23rd October 2024

As High Sheriff of the West Midlands, I had the opportunity to visit The Royal School Wolverhampton, a shining example of educational excellence and inclusivity!  A huge thank you to my High Sheriff St John Ambulance cadet, Isabelle, a former student here, for organising this very special visit!

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Principal Mr Macdonald as he shared the school’s vision for nurturing every student’s potential from ages 4 to 19. The facilities were impressive, including the beautiful Victoria Hall, the School Chapel and the dynamic Sports Centre.

One of the most memorable highlights of my visit was the warm welcome from the Combined Cadet Force! It was inspiring to see students engaged in leadership and teamwork activities, showcasing their dedication and spirit.

The Royal School Wolverhampton is truly committed to helping students thrive both academically and personally. It was a joy to witness the vibrant spirit that makes this school so special! I particularly enjoyed meeting so many students and hearing first hand the impact the school is creating upon them. I also loved their elite athlete board which was very rightly proud of the sporting achievements of so many of their ex pupils.
