What an incredible Saturday morning at Walk for Parkinson’s UK: Birmingham! As the High Sheriff of the West Midlands, I had the honour of sharing the stage with my Grandson, who performed a perfect countdown to start the walk for all 300 participants, who had all come together at Sutton Park to walk 2 or 6 miles to support this important cause.
I am also proud to share that my wife’s fundraising efforts raised an impressive £9840 for a cause that is very close to our hearts.
The event raised over £29,000 all of which will be used to fund research towards a cure for Parkinson’s. Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, and showed their support.
