As High Sheriff of the West Midlands, I had a fantastic and eye-opening visit to the Transport Safety Officer’s who work on behalf of West Midlands Combined Authority as they help to reduce Crime and ASB (Anti-social behaviour)
Starting with a tour of the Regional Traffic Coordination Centre, I gained valuable insights into the advanced monitoring systems in place to ensure the safety of commuters. The dedication and hard work of the team were evident as they diligently monitored and coordinated traffic flow in real-time.
The highlight of the visit was joining the Transport Safety Officers on patrol where I had the opportunity to witness firsthand the measures being taken to keep public transport safe. It was clear that the officers were committed to maintaining a secure environment for passengers.
