I had a wonderful morning attending a very special service at Coventry Cathedral to celebrate the Diamond Anniversary of Blue Coat Church of England School & Music College. We gathered to celebrate 60 years of faith based learning and community since the school re-opened after relocating to Terry Road. The anniversary service was a beautiful tribute to the school’s rich history and the countless students and staff who have contributed to its success over the decades.
Blue Coat School is a school with a very long history and was originally established as a charity school for girls in 1714. It was shut in 1940 when a new style of schooling was needed. The new school was opened back in 1964, 250 years after the original Blue Coat School was formed.
Congratulations to Blue Coat Church of England School & Music College on reaching this remarkable milestone. Here’s to many more years of inspiring and empowering future generations.
