I had the privilege as High Sheriff of the West Midlands of attending the celebration of the commencement of the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Cllr Mutton. Cllr Mutton’s dedication to the city and its people is truly inspiring! She has been a passionate Councillor of the Radford Ward since 2008. Her enthusiasm for Coventry shone through last night as she addressed everyone. There was real pride within the room and it was very clear that she has wonderful community credentials. Her two charities of the year, Carers Trust Heart of England and St Giles Trust, are both focussed on helping people across the area and were proud and grateful to have been chosen by their new Lord Mayor.
I am looking forward to working with her throughout my shrieval year and to supporting Coventry in general.
