This week marked my fourth visit to the Courts as High Sheriff of the West Midlands. This time at the Employment and Property Tribunals where I had the opportunity to meet with the staff and lead Judges. This was followed by a meeting with Regional Property Judge Jackson, who invited me to sit with him in court proceedings, gaining valuable insights into the legal process and the important role of the judiciary.
I then got the chance to meet with Regional Employment Judge Jones to discuss important matters related to employment law and tribunal procedures. This meeting provided a deeper understanding of the complexities and challenges faced in the field of employment law.
Thank you to operations manager Jenny Hogan for arranging this visit which was incredibly valuable and insightful. It gave me a much better understanding of the Tribunal process. I greatly look forward to visiting again in September and spending more quality time with the staff who work so hard behind the scenes to support the Judges and the tribunals.
