Today, I had the honour of attending the @Growth Path Services AGM in Kingstanding, hosted by their inspiring CEO, Anya Sanchez. This remarkable organisation is dedicated to empowering young people aged 16-29, helping them break the cycle of poverty through work experience, entry-level qualifications, and essential employability skills.
The event featured a powerful message from the Deputy Police Crime Commissioner about the importance of increasing employment options for young people to reduce crime. We also watched videos from Soomro and Kyron who shared the impact of Growth Path on their respective lives.
As the High Sheriff I talked about my own personal journey and them had the privilege of presenting awards to outstanding young individuals for their individual achievements. I left feeling inspired by the incredible work being done at Growth Path. It’s very impressive that they are supporting over 200 people a year since the organisation was formed in 2007.
