During my visit to the Naseby Youth Centre as High Sheriff of the West Midlands, I had the privilege of interacting with volunteers, community members, and local officers from the Washwood Heath Police. The sense of community cohesion was evident as we came together at the youth centre. I had the honour of cutting the ribbon to officially open the “pocket park,” a charming green space within the centre.
Engaging with the volunteers and community members provided valuable insights into the vital role that Naseby Youth Centre plays in the community. The centre serves as a hub for youth activities, offering a safe and nurturing environment for young people to learn, grow, and connect with others lead by Darnish Amraz MBE. The dedication and hard work of the volunteers and staff were apparent reflecting their commitment to supporting and empowering the youth in the area.
My visit to Naseby Youth Centre reaffirmed its significance as a vital resource for the community providing a supportive and inclusive environment for young people to thrive and engage in positive activities.
