High Sheriff Events

I had the honour of meeting Natalie Queiroz MBE, an inspiring survivor of a knife crime. After enduring a harrowing experience where she was stabbed two dozen times by her partner while eight months pregnant, Natalie has not only rebuilt her life but has become a powerful advocate against knife crime.

Her courage and resilience are truly remarkable. Natalie actively supports various anti-knife organisations, helping to raise awareness and promote safer communities. In addition to her advocacy work, Natalie has raised thousands for the Midlands Air Ambulance charity—an organisation that played a crucial role in her survival—as well as for local schools.

Throughout my own Shrieval year, she has been a tremendous support, guiding me in understanding all the different initiatives she is involved with in the West Midlands. I’m very grateful for all of her help in submitting a great nomination for the 2025 National Crimebeat awards.
