I was delighted to present a High Sheriffs Award to Claire Biggs who has recently stepped down from her role at the Halesowen Branch of St John Ambulance after 40 years of service.
Claire was initially a Cadet with St John, but for many years she has volunteered in supporting hundreds of Cadets come through the ranks of St John, learning vital life saving skills which make our communities safer. St John is a wonderful organisation which can be seen represented at so many public events and they will very often be the first people on hand when members of the public are having medical emergencies.
One of Claire’s most recent acts has been to support her daughter Charlotte follow in her footsteps and she has been one of my High Sheriff Cadets for 2025 -26, a role she has undertaken in an exemplary fashion, but which has only been possible through the support of Claire and her father
