I was delighted to present a High Sheriff’s Award to Davinder Pangli MBE in recognition of her outstanding 42 years service as a Magistrate on the Coventry and Warks Bench.
The magistrates are absolutely critical to the effective operation of the Criminal Justice System as the Magistrates Court is where all criminal cases start and where the vast majority are dealt with. Magistrates like Davinder undertake their role on a voluntary basis and the County is incredibly fortunate to have nearly 800 people who are willing to serve in this way.
