Isabelle Edgar-McCabe
Isabelle “Belle” Edgar-McCabe founded Baby Godiva after witnessing a mother in need at her local family center. Realizing there was no assistance available in Coventry for families requiring baby essentials, she used her maternity leave to establish a charity from her garage. Five years later, Baby Godiva has supported thousands of mothers by collecting and distributing baby equipment and consumables, operating entirely through volunteers.
Belle’s efforts have been lifesaving for many families struggling to access basic necessities like nappies and milk. Recently, she provided three teenagers with “start ready” kits, equipping them with everything from fully packed hospital bags to cots, pushchairs, and essential supplies. Her work has created a positive ripple effect throughout the city, fostering a community of support and gifting baby equipment to those in need. Belle’s dedication and compassion have made a significant impact on countless families, ensuring they have the resources necessary to care for their children.
