High Sheriff Award

The Walsall Community Association has been operating for 50 years, playing a vital role within the Borough and the wider West Midlands in support of a range of different people, primarily of African Caribbean descent. One of the key services is the Luncheon Hub which provides a hot meal every Wednesday lunchtime, to a number of people, many of more mature years.

As well as providing the food, there is a supportive social environment in which the residents can meet every Wednesday for 5 hours and those attending can also take food away with them for other family members who might be struggling to attend the Community Centre.

I was delighted to present a High Sheriff’s Award to the following people who purchase, prepare, cook and serve the meals every week.

Andrew Walker, Petrona Reid-Blake, Eglon “Blue” Reid & Louie Robinson
