I was very pleased to be able to join other Civic, Ecumenical and Faith leaders for Solemn Vespers led by The Most Reverend Bernard Longley, Archbishop of Birmingham at the MetropolitanCathedral and Basilica of St Chad in Birmingham as we reflect on the life of Pope Francis
We remembered the Pope’s lifelong commitment to compassion and his work to improve relationships between all faiths.
2025 is a Jubilee year for the Catholic Church and the papal decree entitled “Spes non confundit” – Hope does not disappoint” urges us all to look for signs of hope in the world and to work for peace and justice.
