I was delighted to join the Mayor of Dudley Councillor Pete Lee and Richard Boot OBE DL to help mark the end of Armed Forces week in Dudley. I was accompanied by my WM Police Cadet for the borough of Dudley, Amelie, together with my 2 WM Fire Service Cadets Isabelle and Tyler.
The event was held at Himley Hall and saw attendance from a significant number of representatives from the Armed Forces including serving officers, reservists, cadets as well as veterans and family members.
The highlight of the afternoon was the reaffirmation of the Freedom of the Borough to B ( SWWY ) Squadron, the Royal Yeomanry as well as the presentation of medals to veterans and long serving officers.
