I was delighted to attend the Lord Mayor of Coventry’s end-of-Mayoral-year dinner, held at Windmill Village, in support of her chosen charity, the Heart of England Community Foundation. Since 1995, the Foundation has awarded over £40 million to more than 8,400 causes across our region, making a remarkable contribution to local communities. The evening was not only a great success in raising further funds, but also a wonderful reflection of the generosity and spirit of those present. The room was filled with warmth and genuine appreciation for Councillor Rachel Lancaster, who has clearly served her year with great commitment and distinction. I was pleased to secure an afternoon tea in the auction and very much look forward to enjoying it. My sincere congratulations to Louise and very best wishes for the next chapter ahead.
