I was pleased to have the opportunity to join David Heeley OBE DL and the Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Steve Melia to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day.
It is really important to continue to remember those who fought and made the ultimate sacrifice during the Second World War in the Far East and I was honoured to lay a wreath in their memory.
I was also pleased to be supported on this important occasion by my WM Police Cadet for Sandwell, Sophia and two Cadet Leaders.
