I was delighted to be involved with the Community Inspiration Awards organised by the Birmingham Community Foundation.
It was a splendid evening attended by many senior leaders across the City and it was wonderful to hear the citations for the shortlisted nominations and better understand the broad range of contributions made by so many people to improve the lives of citizens across the West Midlands.
It was an honour to be asked to present the Community Assurance Award, but I offered my congratulations to everyone involved with such an inspiring event.
