It was a pleasure to attend the Dream Chasers Youth Club Awards Evening and celebrate the achievements of an exceptional group of young people.
From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was electric. The room was filled with excitement, pride and encouragement, as players, families, coaches and supporters came together to recognise a fantastic season. What impressed me most was the genuine happiness shown for every award winner. I have rarely seen such authentic passion and support for one another’s success. Every achievement was celebrated as a team achievement.
The young people’s love for football was clear to see, as was their pride in the impressive results achieved across their respective leagues. Their commitment, teamwork and determination have clearly contributed to a very successful year for the club.
A special tribute must go to Asha Rage, the inspirational founder of Dream Chasers Youth Club. Her passion and dedication have created far more than a football club; she has built a community where young people are encouraged to believe in themselves, develop confidence and reach their potential. The respect and admiration shown towards her throughout the evening spoke volumes about the positive impact she has made.
Dream Chasers is a wonderful example of the difference that sport, strong leadership and community support can make in the lives of young people. It was a privilege to join in celebrating their achievements, and I congratulate all the award recipients, volunteers, coaches and families who contribute to the club’s continued success.
