I have had 3 recent engagements with St John Ambulance, starting with a visit to the Night Time Economy service that they provide in Birmingham City Centre on Friday and Saturday nights. This Service helps those in medical need in the centre of the city on busy weekend evenings, working alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Police and I saw at first hand how important that this work can be.
I was then delighted to join my Cadets Annika and Charlotte at the Passing out Parade for a number of St John Ambulance Cadets who had successfully completed their Leadership I course.
I then joined the team in Solihull, Dickens Heath and Acocks Green for their Annual Awards evening and alongside Clive Stone DL and the Mayor of Solihull Annette Mackenzie, I was delighted to present certificates and prizes to a number of volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to StJA over the past 12 months.
