High Sheriff Events

I was honoured to support the Lord Lieutenant Derrick Anderson CBE in welcoming Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal to the West Midlands when she visited Sense in Birmingham as part of their 70th Anniversary Celebrations

Sense was founded in 1955 and provides life changing support to disabled people with complex needs and their families. The event featured an art exhibition including the first ever Sense newsletter sent out by the funder Peggy Freeman in April 1955 and it was wonderful to hear from her son Robin during the visit by The Princess Royal. We also heard very touching and inspiring presentations from parents, volunteers and a number of people whose lives are being immeasurably improved through the support they are receiving from Sense.
