I was delighted to join the Lord-Lieutenant, the Mayor of Sandwell Councillor Steve Melia, Mr Gurinder Singh Josan CBE, MP for Smethwick and the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, Craig Guildford in welcoming His Majesty The King to the West Midlands to formally open Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.
It was a wonderful occasion with so many staff present to witness the visit of The King to this vitally important new NHS facility for the County and The King also had the opportunity to engage with a number of patients, including the first and most recent born babies.
