Yesterday, I had the honour of meeting His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, at the inaugural emergency and critical care conference in Birmingham, supporting the Lord Lieutenant of the West Midlands and where the Lord Mayor of Birmingham was also in attendance.
As we gathered to celebrate the invaluable contributions of our paramedics, HRH delivered a heartfelt tribute acknowledging the incredible dedication and resilience these professionals show while working in highly stressful and often distressing circumstances. He aptly described them as the “Swiss Army Knife” of frontline healthcare highlighting their versatility and essential role in our communities.
Thank you to all of the paramedics and emergency services who work tirelessly and with such dedication for the betterment of the West Midlands community.
