I was honoured to join the Lord-Lieutenant and the Mayor of Wolverhampton in welcoming HRH The Duke of Edinburgh to the Royal School in Wolverhampton.
The school showcased a broad range of work being undertaken across both the primary and senior schools, including the OPAL outdoor learning facility, the highly active CCF, various Duke of Edinburgh award achievers and music, drama and art exhibitions.
I enjoyed meeting so many of the students during the course of the visit, including over Lunch, and getting a real sense of the wide range of opportunities that exist to enable them to have a fulfilling education.
