We were honoured to welcome HRH The Prince of Wales to the West Midlands today to visit Sporting Khalsa FC in Willenhall ⚽️ to see the FA’s Reflective and Representative (R&R) campaign. The aim is to diversify the refereeing pathway by recruiting, retaining, and representing individuals from Black, Asian, and Mixed Heritage (BAM) communities.
Since its launch in July 2023, the R&R campaign has surpassed its initial target, registering 3,565 referees from BAM backgrounds! 🙌
Prince William’s visit included engaging activities with local students and a firsthand look at the vital work being done to promote inclusivity in football. It was great to see him participating in the training sessions that this centre provides. The visit ended with Prince William refereeing a short match.
