I was honoured to join the Lord-Lieutenants of Worcestershire and Worcestershire and the High Sheriff of Worcestershire in attending the Service of Welcome and Installation of Hugh Nelson as the new Bishop of Worcester.
The service was held in the magnificent Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Mary the Virgin, and Bishop High is the 104th Bishop in the Diocese, which includes much of the Black Country in the West Midlands, in a long line which stretches back to 680 AD.
It was a most uplifting and inspiring service with a string focus on young people and communities across the whole Diocese and Bishops Hugh’s sermon highlighted the role of Kingdom People living the virtues of love, compassion, justice and freedom.
