During the last few weeks of my Shrieval year, it has been my pleasure to introduce the High Sheriff in Nomination 2026-27, Carmen Watson DL, JP to a number of the key stakeholders for the person who is undertaking the role of High Sheriff of the West Midlands.
This has included the Acting Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, the WMPCC, the Chief Fire Officer of West Midlands Fire Service ( as pictured at the Aston Heritage Museum ), the two of the Presiding Judges for the Midlands Circuit, the Recorder of Birmingham Crown Court, the three Bench Chairs for the Magistrates in the County, the Head of the West Midlands Probation Service, the Bishop of Aston and the Bishop of Birmingham’s Interfaith Leader and the Chair of the Birmingham Consulate Association.
