I was delighted to be able to visit Kaleidoscope Plus Group in West Bromwich to hear from the CEO Calum Nisbet and members of the team about the wide range of critical work that they are doing to support over 7,000 people every year with a range of mental health challenges. This is both within the group’s premises where there is counselling support and advice, and an ability to signpost people to specialist expertise, but also outreach support to over 1,700 people within the local community.
With regard to my particular areas of responsibility as High Sheriff, I was interested to learn more about the work being done in relation to Knife Crime as well as training to be provided to Police Cadets and Leaders around mental well being.
