I was delighted to join the High Sheriffs of Shropshire and Derbyshire and numerous Mayors from across the County, in supporting the High Sheriff of Staffordshire Mr Timothy Gillow at the Service on the official Opening of the Hilary term at Stafford Crown Court.
The service was held at The Collegiate Church of St Mary in Stafford and we were given a fascinating tour by the Reverend John Davis MBE KStJ who explained some of the long history of the Church, which has been at the centre of life in Stafford for over 1,000 years.
It was also a real pleasure to catch up with His Honour Judge Mukherjee who has recently been appointed as the Honorary Recorder of Stafford and is the Resident Judge in the Crown Court, who commended the work of the many people who work in the Courts in the delivery of justice.
