High Sheriff Events

I was delighted to attend the licensing service of the Reverend Jeremy Dussek as the Priest in charge of St Peter’s Collegiate Church and St John’s in the Square, Wolverhampton.

Held within the beautiful and historic setting of St Peter’s, the service was both uplifting and deeply meaningful. It was a pleasure to join clergy, civic representatives, and members of the local community in marking this important occasion. The warmth of the welcome extended to Rev Dussek was evident throughout and reflected the strong sense of community within both congregations.

The service itself was conducted with great dignity, combining prayer, music and reflection in a way that honoured the rich heritage of the churches while looking forward with hope to the future. It was a privilege to witness Rev Dussek formally begin his ministry in Wolverhampton, taking on this important role at the heart of the city’s spiritual and civic life.

I was very pleased to be able to support this significant moment and to share in the sense of optimism and unity that characterised the occasion. I extend my very best wishes to Rev Dussek as he embarks on his ministry at St Peter’s and St John’s, and I look forward to seeing the continued flourishing of both churches under his leadership.
