I had a really useful and enjoyable meeting with Sandra Godley who has recently taken over the role of President of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce.
There were a wide range of areas of mutual interest, but this included the vitally important role that buisiness can play in helping with employment of Care leavers and ex offenders, which is vital to helping people get their lives back on track.
We also discussed the significant need for new Magistrates as a consequence of likely reforms to the Criminal justice system and how organisations can be supportive of their employees taking up the opportunity to act as a Magistrate, as well as the benefits that will accrue to the Employer
