I had a most enjoyable meeting in Birmingham with Hakk Ozal, the Regional Director of the Dialogue Society.
The society is a registered charity established in 1999 and it has 16 branches across the UK and its objective is to advance social cohesion through connecting communities, empowering people to engage and contributing to the development of ideas.
The Society runs a number of discussion forums across the year on topics such as democracy and free speech, equality and human rights and progressive patriotism.
I had a most enjoyable discussion with Hakk discussing the importance of connection and conversation.
