I was honoured to join the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police Craig Guildford, David Moorcroft DL, the Lord Mayor of Coventry, the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood and the Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philip at the National Police Memorial Service which this year took place at the magnificent Coventry Cathedral.
It was wonderful to see over 1,000 people in attendance to remember police officers who have lost their lives in the course of undertaking their work and it was real privilege to meet a number of the families who contributed to a very poignant service.
I was also proud to be supported by my Police Cadets on this very important occasion.
