I was delighted to visit the newly launched NatWest Business Accelerator at Tyseley Energy Park (TEP Birmingham), an exciting initiative that will help innovative businesses across the West Midlands grow and thrive.
Developed in partnership with NatWest, TEP Birmingham and Webster & Horsfall Group, the Accelerator will support entrepreneurs by providing access to expert mentoring, investment opportunities, commercial networks and practical business support. Its aim is to help founders turn innovative ideas into successful, scalable businesses.
A particular highlight of the visit was an insightful panel discussion exploring how the West Midlands can build on its strengths in research, manufacturing and innovation to create more high-growth businesses. It was encouraging to hear from leaders across industry and finance about the importance of collaboration in unlocking the region’s potential and supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs.
The West Midlands has a proud industrial heritage and an exciting future. Initiatives such as this Accelerator will play an important role in helping innovative businesses flourish, creating jobs, attracting investment and strengthening our regional economy. I look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have in the years ahead.
