Delighted to attend the AGM at Solihull MBC where Councillor Annette Mackenzie was installed as the new new Mayor of Solihull for 2025-26.
I was accompanied by my WM Police Cadet Liv who was able to observe local democracy at work, as well as the ceremony associated with the appointment of a new Mayor.
It was also interesting to learn of the new Mayor’s previous careers working for WM Police and the Prison Service and discuss our areas of mutual interest.
Thanks were also given for the tireless work undertaken by the outgoing Mayor Councillor Shahin Ashraf MBE.
