t was a pleasure to attend the Community Citizenship Awards, hosted by the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, Simon Foster.
Thank you to Simon for a wonderful evening and for the fantastic hospitality. It was a lovely opportunity to come together and celebrate the people who give their time, energy and commitment to supporting our communities.
Volunteers play such an important role in the work of our police service. They bring their own experiences, skills and passion to their communities, often giving their time without expecting anything in return. Their contribution can make a real difference, whether that is through supporting policing directly, helping vulnerable people or simply being there for their local community.
It was wonderful to hear about the dedication and commitment of those being recognised and to celebrate the positive impact they have on the West Midlands. Their work is a reminder of the strength that comes from people choosing to give something back and support others.
A huge thank you also to everyone who helped make the evening so enjoyable, from the fantastic food to the brilliant entertainment. It was a fitting way to celebrate some truly deserving individuals and the contribution they make every day.
Congratulations to everyone recognised at the awards, and thank you for everything you do for our communities.
