I was delighted attend and speak at the Pass Out Parade for 17 new Trainee Firefighters who have successfully completed their training and will thus be joining the ranks of West Midlands Fire Service.
WMFS is one of the largest services in the UK and works across Prevention, Protection and Response to keep the citizens of the West Midlands as safe as possible and to rescue us in hour of need.
It was encouraging to see the diversity of backgrounds of the new Firefighters but what was common across all of them was their strong desire to apply their skills for the benefit of the communities they serve.
