Last year I had the honour of attending the AGM of the Riding for the Disabled Association which was held in Coventry in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal.
On the day of the AGM I met Alison who runs an RDA centre near Sutton Coldfield and so I visited the Centre to see first hand the wonderful work that the RDA is undertaking.
I observed a session with Joshua who has been visiting the Centre for many years and who has built up a very special bond with the horses that he rides. Furthermore the RDA sessions have helped him build his self confidence and enhanced his physical skills, such that he is now employed three days a week, something which had not seemed likely before Joshua started his RDA sessions.
