I had a really enjoyable visit to the Sandwell Aquatics Centre, which is one of the significant legacies from the Commonwealth Games held in the County in 2022.
It was really encouraging to see how the Centre has evolved to be used by the communities across the Black Country. As well as a 50m Olympic size swimming pool and an International standard Diving pool, the Centre also houses 2 major sports Halls ( including 10 badminton courts ), 3 Gyms, an indoor Cycle studio and a dry diving training facility.
There are circa 18,500 visitors every week, including Children from 47 local schools and a wide range of clubs operating for a diverse group of people across the region.
