I had another very enjoyable visit to the West Mids Fire Service’s SafeSide facility in Nechells.
On this occasion, I got to observe a day of information and instruction provided to year 9 students from a Primary School in Wolverhampton, across a wide range of safety related matters relevant to the home and in respect of Cars, Buses, Trains and Canals. The students enthusiastically engaged with the various sessions and it was really encouraging to see the progression in their knowledge during the course of the day.
I was also able to take the opportunity to talk to the students about the role of the High Sheriff and participate in a very lively Q & A session.
